Why not incorporate pictures, graphics, and hey, this is about language! soundtracks? I am sure you would welcome any such contributions as long as they are informative.

For browsing through the journal, a line of small links at the top and at the bottom of each article may be useful. For us, Europeans, this would speed up browsing through the articles (and committing them to the browsers cache), which would minimize connection time...
My personal belief is that you should stick to the journal metaphor as closely as possible... Maybe you could split the site into (1) the journal proper, and (2) the reference part. The journal proper would contain articles and would remain unchanged, whereas the reference part would be regularly updated.

Its terrific. I spent way too much time there already, and need to go back for more... Actually, what Id like to see is one of those little boxes on the title
page that says how many visitors the page has had.
